Kleist Tower

On the Laudon Hill (also called Kleist hills or Jewish Hill) behind a sports stadium in Slubice was situated the tower that was erected by the inhabitants society of Frankfurt an der Oder. The tower was erected as a sign of respect and to honor the poet and soldier Ewaln Christian von Kleist, who at the Battle of Kunowice in 1759 was seriously injured as a result of which he died.
